Well, we've mentioned the Reds here before and their lack of a successful year in quite some time. However, they're leading the NL Central Division! Winning on the road and at home - exciting year for Reds fans and long overdue!

Former Lafayette HS player, Austin Kearns, is also having a much better year this year for the Reds than the last couple of years. Batting .315 and has five HR on the year so far!

The Big Red Machine may just do something substantial this year?!?!?! clap

As long as you don't mention Brandon Phillips in this thread, I am all for sending some kudos down to the Reds Big Grin

I don't know if it is fair to call them the Big Red Machine but they are very hot right now.

Maybe you Reds fans can share some with us Pirate fans? Must be nice to win. lol. We'll get our share later, hopefully. I'll give the reds their props, they are playing well.

Big Grin You're probably right CD! You know how I am about karma and everything! I've probably just jinxed the entire rest of the season by calling them that!

Seriously, just glad to see those guys having a good year for a change. It's always fun to see the underdog do well!

They're on a roll.

I have a feeling it'll subside sooner or later. Arroyo and Harang are quality pitchers, but I think they'll come back down to earth in the coming days. They're sort of carrying the pitching staff.

Eventually, not having a hard throwing guy in relief and not having a couple of stoppers will catch up with Cinci.

Awe oh, they lost to Luvbb's Phillies yesterday! Tied with those pesky Cardinals now for first! However, my boy Kearns is hitting just under .400 for May!!!! The Reds were very close to trading him last year, bet they're glad he's hung around!!! clap
