just wondering what is the best -3 bat in your opinion

The Gen 1-x responses. Just about anything TPX are awsome. I can't stand the connections all they do is dent up or bust, I"m not a fan of Easton.

I don't think he is asking about wood bats.

I like the blue Easton Connexion but unlike TPX the Connexion is slightly end heavy.

I love my gen 1x. I agree with you Daniel_08_y, anything made by TPX is awlsome. Go get the gen 1x

The best -3 bat would start with one that you are comfortable with. In my opinion the triple 7 or a lot of the TPX bats are the ones to use in high school or in college. Try to stay away from the connections because they will dent very easily. But you should definitely use whatever bat you are comfortable with

It Totally Depends on the Person and the Type of hitter so here are the facts......

I find that power hitters tend to use an end heavy bat such as the connexion or wood.

While Slap and line drive hitters tend to use balanced bats, which tend to be your louisville and rawlings bats.

While Wood Breaks, Connexions Dent, and louisville break......(You can't buy Gen1-x anymore as much as i agree that the performance of that bat was unbelievable I have broken two and witnessed atleast three others break)....Rawlings bats seem to be a no-frills type of aluminum bat that gets the job done.

It won't matter because in about 2 years everyone except for maybe little league will be using wood, the hitters are just getting too strong and too good. Remember the bat doesn't get hits it only assists you, a good hitter will bat better with a tree branch then a poor hitter with a $600 bat. The difference is only realized if you are better then the equipment.

My player just got the new "Liquidmetal" bat by Rawlings last week. Says it is unlike any other bat he's ever had. Hard to tell about overall superior performance since they are indoors in cages now. Will put it away until season, swings with wood all winter. Is definately a "Rawlings" man.

My son loves his Nike Hawk bat. So did half his college team. They rave about the pop. It lasted two college seasons through about 5 players.

Without question Anderson Pyrotech -3 I know you have never heard of it. YOU WILL!

Your kids must be younger. Anderson bats dent too easily against higher velocity pitching. Even their "heralded" softball bats aren't used in college got the same reason.

I coach and my son plays travel. The Liquid Metal is the bat I see break more than any other bat, including my son's.

When the first Liquid Metal bats came out a couple of years ago, we purchased one for our son. The very first at bat the end cap came off. We went back and forth with Rawlings, they kept sending them out and the end caps kept coming off. Finally we gave up and went back to Louisville.

My son really likes the -3 Louisville Exogrid.

My son uses an EXO. It came down to an EXO, an Omaha and a Nike Torque. They have have very similar handles and barrels. The LS rep told me the only difference in the EXO and the Omaha is the alloys used to make it. He said the EXO should last longer. My son used all three over much of the season before deciding on the EXO. He said it (the white one) looks cooler.

My son is using the EXO, but honestly prefers the one-piece bats like his old 2006 TPX Warrior (the grey and black one). They just don't make the Warrior like they used to. The reason he got the EXO is that the balance is similar to the Warrior. Not too even like the Torque, not to top heavy like the Stealth Comp - both of which he has. (yes, I do have more money than sense, and I don't have much money! )

That's funny, TG - my son wanted the white EXO for the same reason! He agrees with you on the Liquidmetal bats. In fact, one of his teammates broke his at a tournament last weekend! He just hit a pitch on a warm Florida afternoon. You could hear the bat break.

Gunnersmom - I sure hope Gunner enjoys the bat, but keep your receipt!

i have used the same EXO for almost 2 years now and it hasnt lost a bit of pop. the best thing about it is the handle is specially made so when or if you get jammed it still comes off the bat as if it was hit on the barell. I got jammed in practice the other day and still took it out. just my opinion

-3 bats don't lose pop unless they crack. You can use them forever as long as they don't dent or flatten on one side and get tossed from a game. I know a pro player/former D1 player who used one metal bat into his senior year when an opposing coach appealed the bat claiming it had a flatter hitting surface on one side.
