can't go wrong with the rawlings pro preferred 11 1/2 inch glove if you're willing to shell out the dough. Great glove

Theres no glove that is hands down the best one. You should get one that you feel comfortable with and that you like. Once youre getting a pro preffered, your getting a quality glove no matter which one you buy.

yeah that's what i was saying when you can't go wrong with a pro-preferred. the model that I liked the most is this one, http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail/model_nbr-...11/cm--BSBGLVPRTPSS/

ya any of the Pro Preffered gloves are beastly, but if youre not looking to spend that much Heart of the Hide gloves are very nice as well.

yeah to be honest, personally i think heart of the hide are better, they are more durable and last longer i think, and dont take as long to break in, i got my heart of the hide glove and pitched with it like a week later, most likely might take a bit longer for a infielder but if i were a shortstop bout to purchase a new mitt it would be this one...http://www.ballglovewarehouse.com/product.view.aspx?p=8104
