I get very frustrated at lack of hustle. When doing infield drills (1&cover, etc.), and the shortstop makes an error, and he walks after the ball it really gets to me, more than the error. How much hustle (mainly during practice) is there in your schools?

Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True.
And the Grand Canyon is just a hole in Arizona.

We have a lot. We dont have the most talent in the world, but we win a lot of games because of hustle and heart. you know, running out a ball that you know darn well should be an easy out, running to the fence on defense even if the ball goes into the road, et cetera

The butt... it talks...

At our school, you dont hustle, you dont play. No matter who the player is. Our coach doesn't care if it is the benchwarmer or the Ace. Alot of the hustle i believe, comes from pure love of the game.

I second that statement. We are teammates by the way.

Has anyone ever had that one player on your team that clearly has no talent, doesn't hustle, and doesn't take lip from anyone, but the coach still loves him and has no problem starting him EVERY game?
