Hey all!

Okay, so my names Jeff.

I played baseball for about 5 years before I got into High School.

Now I am a Junior and I haven't played baseball in 3 years.

I want to get back into the game. I played with my friends a couple of days ago. And I have to say, I wasn't very good. My hitting was rather slow and I was pitching about half as fast as I normally did with way less accuracy.

I really want to start playing again.
My goal would be to get into college ball, but that might be a stretch so intramural would be good enough.

So, does anybody have any tips for me to practice and get back into shape!

I work out in a weight room as much as I can so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks in advanced!!!

when working out stay away from overhead work

Try longtossing everday, and working off a tee in the batting cage.Tape yourself hitting so you can correct any mistakes.

good luck

Thanks dude. I think the hitting off the tee will be really good for my swing.

I'm sort of confused by what you mean by overhead work?
What do you mean?

Thanks again though.

the local orthopedic in my city said that it puts pressure on and "pinches" your rotator cuff, which not always, but could have negative effects on velocity, overall arm health, and arm flexibility
