Alright. So, I normally a shortstop with a very strong and accurate arm. My friends tell me that I should be a pitcher. Im a good shortstop, but an even better pitcher. However, I love playing shortstop and am always playing wallball when not in games. Any advice on which position to stick with?

if you want to play at college or beyond i say you should pitch and play short. I play both and i like short way more but i like pitching too. there are way more pitchers than shortstops in college and in the pros so it will increse your chances. you can do whatever you want but why not do both. i dont see why doing both wouldnt work but if you only want to do one thats perfectly fine.

play both. If you've got talent to make it far, you will make it farther as a pitcher than a shortstop because there is usually one shortstop playing each game, and someitimes 1 pitcher in a game, sometimes 5, you never know.

My advise is to keep playin short as your main position. play that until you can no longer then if you cant play short, you can always pitch.

Reason - if you plan on playin college ball as a short stop, you can always go and pitch, but if you go as a pitcher then your shortstop and hitting days are over.

If you just play shortstop and you don't make it it's gonna be pretty hard to switch to pitching at that level. You can do both, let others decide what you're better at.

Sorry but im gonna disargree, If you have good mechanics you'll always be able to pick a ball and throw it. trust me a lot of pro pitchers played other positions but never pitch in college. and then they got the minors they couldnt hit, so they just switch to the mound and make it to the show.

jason isringhausen was a shortstop in college.

every body on my aau team has to pitch and i'm the #1 catcher . hell they don't even let me run !! i even won a game /(3 hitter) . in our week long tourny in fla against our older team . stick with the s/s and work as a mid. reliever pitcher . if you can throw hard /junk or varied speed you'll be more usefull !!!

if you want some of this plate ,COME TAKE IT!
it not nice to steal on my pitcher !!!! i get VERY angry when you steal on my pitcher . that means i have to go to the mound and lie to him and take the blame .... you Dont want me that angry!
