How about three suggestions to start the, er, debate.
Mizuno's 11 3/4" I-web pattern, (i.e., the "Chipper" pattern), found in the Classic series for about $159, the ugly two-tone BUW series for about $179, and the Pro Limited series for about $229.
Rawlings smallish 12" Pro-1000 , the Ken Caminiti/ Troy Glaus H-web pattern. Can once in a while find the US made hard-shell pattern for around $200 broken in, or $275 new, or alternately the PRO 1000 TL-type with the pre-broken in oiled leather for $159. I think you can find this pattern in the Pro Preferred series for about 259.00 or so.
Easton's new (and ill-named)E-5 glove, 12", reinforced basket web, really great Horween-type leather and deerskin lining, now reduced from its initial 219.00 to about 129.00. This is the Eric Chavez pattern.
Good luck,
C/D

Akadema's AMH109 is pretty tough to beat, it's a great glove for a third baseman and should last you a good while. Here's the description from http://www.baseballadvantage.com : AMH 109 - 11.5" pattern, B-hive web, open back, and deep pocket. Perhaps the most versatile infielder’s glove in the Akadema line, the AMH-109 was designed for professional shortstops, third basemen, second basemen, or pitchers.

This May Sound Odd But The Best Glove For The Job Is no bigger then 11-1/2. Other gloves are too big. While they may snag that ball deep down the line on the hop because of how big it is, are u really gonna throw him out, if so great, but chances are not. I'd go with a smaller glove that you can get the glove out of quicker. I'm mainly a SS,3rd,2nd kind of guy and I use a pro preffered "J" Series 11-1/4. I also own a Mizuno Chipper Classic 11-3/4, it can be used but i think it's just a little too big for the infield i tend to use that out in the outfield more. GOOD LUCK and make sure to try the gloves on TRY HERE FOR THE "J" Series but i would go try on a regular one first
