I have the lefty syndrome even though I am right handed. My hat is always tilted a little to the right and I don't even notice it till someone points it out.

On the feild you have to wear it straight ahead and curved. flat bills don't look right.

I've always been a hat straight kind of guy. Just feels right.

I personally do not wear my cap to the side. I wear it straight, but I don't pull it down to my eyebrows I have it up a bit.

I am a freshman in High School stumbled upon this page via google, looking for some good advice. If anyone has any let me know.

If you watched me play, my hat bill was always flat. It would be pulled down low on my head. And it would be cocked to either the left, or the right, or straight ahead...It all depended on which way the SUN or the lights were SHINING on my face and how I could best USE my hat for its intended purpose, To keep the light out of my eyes. So, it's functional, not a reason to pass judgement. Just like high socks vs. pants legs to your ankles...I played better when my pants were up and out of the way, not binding under my cleats. If it gets the job done...

I was a travel coach through 16U. If you got five feet from the car without your shirt buttoned and tucked, your hat on straight and your pant legs down you didn't have much chance of being in the lineup. I'm wasn't looking for players trying to look different from their teammates. My son's high school coach is the same way. So is the coach of his showcase team. The high school coach even has restrictions on the colors of cleats and batting gloves. You are wearing a uniform. The definition of uniform: of the same form as others, conforming to one rule or mode.

You come to the park in full uniform and leave in full uniform---no shorts or flip flops---you are a baseball player

In high school, our cleats were on as soon as we got off the bus. We met as a group just off the bus, put our cleats on, and then walked to the field. We didn't leave the bus without our uniform completely on either..

Agree 100% with RJM, TRhit, and Bulldog 19---Team game, act proffesional. What ever happend to hats off in a building? I always remove mine when shopping and such and never see others do it, not even older guys like me--is it no longer proper to?

I have always felt that when on the feild you should wear your hat to the front, not slanted. My dad and many other high school coaches say its respecting the game, and i agree completly. Hope this helps.
