Was it diagnosed by x-ray or bone scan? Not that it matters. If you do not follow your doctor's advice you may only compound the problem. Over time with the twisting of the tibia caused by pronation of the foot your body was not able to thicken the bone enough to strengthen sufficiently and avoid the fracture. Rest and therapy are the best routes to take. You will not be able to play through it nor will you be able to hurry the healing process. Be patient and let it heal correctly and you will be of far greater value to your team as a physically fit player than one only able to go at 75% or less. Best of luck with your career.

All you need to do is to follow what your doctor and the therapist tell you to do---you are young and you have time to heal properly and get on with your baseball career

Good Luck

That sucks, i had the same problem last season. I went to therapy and got some workouts and stretches for my shins. You also might wanna think about getting some good running shoes for whenever you have to run, they help to take the pressure off the shins while running. Or if you don't want to buy shoes you can buy some good insoles for your cleats. (Super Feet work good)
