Thats a good question,I wonder what some people will say

In my opinion, since triceps are worked in most lifting routines, the bicep too, have to be worked somewhat.

Biceps DEFINITELY need to be worked. If triceps are worked a significant amount more than the biceps, an imbalance and an injury are very likely. There are other excercises that are more beneficial to baseball players that strengthen the biceps then curls.

These excercises include but are not limited to:

Pull-ups/Chin ups and its variations
Rope Climb (unorthodox but very effective)
Power/Hang Clean

If any body else has any suggestions for other "baseball specific" bicep excercises... add on to the list!

Hope this helps,

B-Rod

Yes biceps should be worked in rows, pullups and climbs as mentioned.

Cleans dont (or at least shouldn't) work biceps at all. They are a posterior chain exercise.

In addition fat bar work is tremendous for functional forearm/bicep development.

A bar that is thicker than traditional Olympic Bar. If you do not have access to this equipment, you can wrap a towel around the bar.
