I know that it is a bit early to think about this (especially as I look at the snow on the ground and the temperatures hover around 0), but I am curious to hear about in-season weight-lifing routines for pitchers. The collegiate coaches and players we talked to all mention that their pitchers lift in-season. Assuming a starter pitches every 5th day, when should pitchers lift. My son's routine is (1) day after he pitches, he just uses elastic bands and runs; (2)second day after, easy toss; (3) third day after, long toss; (4) fourth day, bullpen session with about 30-35 pitches; and (5) start. Your thoughts and comments, as always, are appreciated. Thanks.
