Pulling the sled is one of many excercises done with a strength and conditioning sled. Pushing the sled is perhaps one of the hardest conditioning exercises that an athlete can do. Check out the website, strengthsled.com

I agree quit spamming.
However I will say this "device" is nothing new. We have 2 at our gym (yours is a knock off of the original Prowler) and it is without a doubt one of the best "exercises" to do for overall conditioning.

Great - another piece of workout equipment that I can stack up in my garage. Anyone interested in a deal on a Thigh Master? Leg Master? Flex Master? Stair Master? Buns Master? Body Master?
Hey I have a great idea lets call it a "Sled Master" and have Suzanne Somers pitch it. Certainly will do much better than posting it on HSBBW!

Once again I don't agree with this yahoo spamming here, but..............
This piece of equipment is no joke and have never understood why every high school in america doesn't have one.
Remember how you hated running suicides?? Take that feeling and multiply it times about 10.

I am not sure how pushing this thing around relates to a baseball workout. Looks like a very specific football type of device. Ballistic training should be part of every baseball specific work out, but not like this.

It relates by making you a better athlete which will make you a better baseball player.
I get so sick of hearing about baseball specific this or that because if you really want to get right down to it, if you aren't running, throwing, or swinging a bat it is not baseball specific.

Your right ZD just getting out and working out will make a better athlete.
My comments were in context to this device and your comment that "every high school should have one of these". Well they do - if you go to any HS football work out field you will see something to this device (with pads on them)......they are used primarily for linemen.
So as far as this device goes and the guy posting it here, wanting to get baseball people to buy it, first clear it with MN and then at least bring a device that has more specific benefits to a baseball work out, not a power sled for football linemen...he can go spam HSFBW for this.

And you are right-truthfully the thread should be wiped out.
The problem with the traditional sled used by football is 3 fold.
Number 1 like you stated it is used primarily for linemen-generally the bigger stronger kids and most of these sleds are 5 men sleds-there will be some programs with 2 men sled but I have never seen a hs program with a 1 man sled. So if athlete number 5 wants to lag and let the other 4 do the majority of the work it goes unchecked to a certain degree. With the prowler it is just you and the sled.
Number 2 with the prowler you have 2 positions to push the sled targeting the weak link of the athlete.
Number 3 the traditional football sled isn't as user friendly for the different level, size, and strength of the athlete. The prowler you can obviously easily adjust the wait based on the above criteria.
And once again I just have to say if you are not throwing, hitting, or running sprints it is not baseball specific it doesn't matter what it is. A device like the prowler is a phenomenal piece of equipment for building core strength and legs. In addition from a cardiovascular standpoint, it is an a..kicker.

Sorry ZD, I gotta prove you wrong here
My high school has not only two 5-man sleds, but has a 2-man sled and a 1-man sled. In fact, our local little league football program has a 5-man sled and a 1-man sled too now that I think about it.
I'm sure there are plenty of benefits for using a sled to help make you a better overall player, but there are plenty of ways to do it cheaper than buying a sled.

I figured there would be some programs with a 1 man sled-I just personally have never seen one at a HS program. But the other 2 points I made are still valid LOL.
There may or may not be-I just personally have never experienced anything like the prowler before.
