I usually like to workout every day after school. I was just wondering if working out the day of a game is ok or not. If so is there a limit to what I should do? I am a Junior middle infielder in high school. Thanks for the help in advance.

Some players like to workout the day of the game and some do not.

I would suggest lifting after the game, not before.

But the only way you will know for yourself is trying. But I wouldn't attempt this for the first time before a meaningful game.

I have a lot of athletes in a variety of sports in my morning physical conditioning classes (high school) and I encourage them to do a LIGHT workout--something to get the blood flowing.

For our guys its a mixed bag, some lift before, others after. All of our guys thought go through pre-game core/ muscle activation work/ tissue work via massage and rollers, and manually stretched based on their individualized needs.
