I think in-season med ball workouts are some of the best to do. They promote athleticism, power and speed without the breakdown of muscles. In most cases they actually increase recovery, obviously a large goal of in-season training. Just be sure to keep in-season training short. Typically two 20-25 minute sessions is more than enough.

In-season in college, we would train minimum 3 days a week hard. Some times we would train 5 days a week including game days. Starting pitchers have a routine they can go through during the week, and they should maintain it throughout.

Ignore the 'height' calculators, as I was told to do about three years ago on this site when I was all worried about it. I'm 5'11" and wife is 5'5". They had my sons maxing out at 5'11", with 5'10" being the most common result. Son 1 just turned 18 yesterday and is 6'1" and still going. Son 2 is 14 and 6' with several years' growth still ahead. The men on wife's side are all 6'3", 6'4", so it's not all just about the father and the mother. There are other genes in the mix!

Careful there. Ol' JD and the mods won't take too kindly to you offering advice that people can't buy from Doyle's website...
