I knew I couldn't be the only one that thought creatine worked.

i believe creatines works

Creatine has an indirect effect at building muscle and strength. Here’s what creatine does: It is used to increase the amount of creatine phosphate you have in your muscle tissue. Creatine phosphate is than used to replenish ATP which acts as a quick energy source for activities that require quick bursts of energy such as strength training/weight lifting and sprinting.
What else does creatine do? When a person starts out taking creatine, they will notice the greatest amount of size and strength gains in the first couple of months. There have been studies that show a significant increase in body mass. However, there has been speculation that this is mostly a water gain rather than a muscle gain.

That is, creatine has a cell expanding property which “volumizes” cells. When additional creatine enters the muscle, it brings water along with it. This additional fluid actually expands your muscles giving them a full or pumped look. True, there is some water gain but over time, this becomes a true muscle gain.

One fact remains, if you’ve been taking creatine for over a couple of months and stop taking it, you will lose the cell volumizing effects and the water gain but you won’t lose the muscle you’ve earned. Muscle takes time to build and over time, and as you get stronger the size will come. You will not lose this gain (if you keep on training) once you stop taking creatine.

My advice to you would be to get on a solid lifting program. PM me for details if you want. I would say right now, 3 full body days would be sufficient since you are in season. Once you have built your base from these 3 full body workouts per week, and the off season begins, you should move to 4 days, a max upper day, a reps upper day, a max lower day, and a reps lower day. And I agree with everyone else, cut out the EXTRA running. Make sure you still go for a jog after you pitch. However, if you want to do a running workout, you should be doing sprints like Mr. Doyle said. Final tip, with all the lifting you are going to do, make sure you STRETCH!!!!

Not going to get involved with the creatine debate.
But my advice to all these young boys(we dont know who these players are or their age so supplement suggestions are not in the best arena of advice).
with that make sure you are following a good nutrition program. Maybe see a nutritionist. Lifting is good but you need to eat good food and snack often.
I understand all your needs to want to get bigger faster , have been through this with my own son, but it takes time, a good weight program, good nutrition a good protein supplement for after workouts, plenty of rest and lots of good hydration. It takes time but you will see results if you persevere.
