I've read a lot of good things about the "rice Bucket". My questions how exactly is it done and how often should a twelve year old do it per week?

4thGen started using the Rice Bucket in PT. He really likes it to workout his forearms, wrists and shoulders. There are a number of exercises you can do.

Start by digging down, rotating your wrists. You can bury and dig up golf balls at the bottom. Antoher drill is to dig your hands completely in the rice and then grab as much rice as possible. Next flick your fingers open as quickly as possible. Also, you can drive your hands down into the rice as hard as possible.

Best workout for wrist and forearms, did this in college, quite a few years ago, wish I had known about it sooner, really paid off,
I used one of those old bird seed buckets with I forget how much rice, fill it up as much as possible, I tried to get it to the elbows, had a baseball at the bottom and used it everynight, when my kids are old enough they will be doing this religously.

Merc, Thanks for the help! Some of us are just a little slow to figure things out on our own sometimes, aren't we?
