Football season starts August 13th for me. I have two tournaments before, and based on my football schedule possibly two more.

Due to the weather in the northeast and the lack of training facilities, it is difficult to use to long tossing program.

I figure just do it during football season before or after practice. But I have another problem nagging me.

I believe I have tendentious in my elbow again. I have had the same problem before and the doctor just told me to rest six to eight weeks.

Assuming my season ends for the most part on August 12th, how long should I rest my arm for before throwing again?

You have to rest it until it gets better.

The big issue is correcting the problem. Is it mechanical? Do you have muscular imbalance? Get to the root of the problem and correct it or you will continue to have problems and chances are high they will become more serious.

I would get to a Physical Therapist and figure it out.

I am assuming it is from mechanics. I play everywhere besides catcher and first base. So arm actions and angles vary from position and I think sometimes my mechanics get sloshed together.

Listen to this guy!

Just resting it will help the pain go away but there is a huge chance it will come right back once the activity is started again.

Go see a PT or a Chiropractor. They know musculoskeletal, not MDs. They just give a pain killer and say rest it, this may work okay for non-active people but it is worthless for an athlete.
