Im an 18 year old left handed pitcher that has committed to play baseball at the D1 level in the Big West next year, currently im 6' 1'' but only weigh around 175 lbs. Im looking to add a little weight before I head up to campus in the fall and was recommended to the supplements Noxplode and Cellmass. Has anyone tried or recommends this product?

This may or may not be what you want to hear, but is the truth:

All the supplements in the world won't do much good unless your nutrition is in order.

If you can list what you eat and your training program we can help with supps.

NoXplode is basically a high dose of caffeine and other stims. CellMass is basically creatine. Both are overpriced and nothing special. Recently the company has been sued for label misinformation. With that said, it seems as though when you become a bigger company like they have someone is going to sue you.

We don't use these products with our athletes. And remember to check with your doctor before beginning any supps.

The school and the coaches apparently liked what they saw in your in your present physical shape

I would wait until you got to school and see what they do with you or even call them now and perhaps they will send you their weight/nutrition program. They will probably have their owns thoughts on the matter

mwlefty: To be honest with you, I wouldn't worry to much about putting on a lot of weight before fall, it will most likely just come off anyway because the first week of fall is usually spent doing some kind of "mental" conditioning.

I believe that any decent amount of weight you will put on between now and then will not be good weight, i.e. lean muscle. As you get into their program, most D1 programs have good strength and conditioning coaches, you will add as much lean muscle as possible.

When I went into Wichta State, I was 6'0 170 pounds, by spring I was 180 and my body fat had not increased.

IMO, putting on weight should be a process that is done over time and not rushed.

i would do a little bit of research on both of those products. There are better alternatives to both that are cheaper. BSN (the maker of those products is or was getting sued.

Check out shocker nutritions Nitro Shock and for Creatine either Controlled Labs Green Magnitute or Universal Nutritions Storm.

I agree with TR. Schools have different philosophies and your school may have something they want you to do. I would give them a call and ask them what their goal is for you. Most likely they will send you their workout program and tell you how to best prepare yourself for fall.
