A couple things . . . . you might have missed the boat for the upcoming season. Many of the elite travel teams hold tryouts in september for their next spring/summer teams, so many if not most 14U teams have already been selected. You might find a team that is still looking for players, but generally the better teams have filled up long ago. You should definitely be mindful of this and look for tryouts for these teams starting in August.

secondly, it might help people here to help you if you could narrow your location down. East coast is a pretty broad area and you could have a list of 100 teams ranging from maine to Florida. At 14 years old, I don't think you'd be up for playing weekends for a team based in Florida if you live in New Jersey for instance.

Once we have a little more to go on, you'll probably be given a wide variety of teams to choose from in your more immediate area.

And once you have that list, then you can make contacts and see if there are still some spots left. And if not, then you can keep track of them for next year's team by finding out when their tryouts are.

Good luck and let us now where you are. It could also be that other areas may have some different leagues than here and you could still find a team for this year.
