Coach congrats to all those young men and especially your son. I had no idea that he was headed to High Point. I was sitting with one of the assistant coaches from High Point a few weeks back and he was talking about their Sr SS Alfie Wheeler and how they had found a great SS to replace him with once he graduated. Congrats to your son!

They have a beautifull stadium and High Point College is a great school in a great area of our state. They have really recruited well recently and this years 09 class is shaping up to be an outstanding class. Maybe we can hook up your sons freshman year and watch a game or two together. Again great choice and congrats!

Hey Joe

It was a pleasure meeting you this weekend in High Point. Looks like from the group of kids that have already committed there, they are really in the process of building a great program.
Oh yeah my son is Kyle, the one from Raleigh NC.
Look forward in watching some games with you in the coming years.

Take Care

Thanks Mike,

I am sure I could have sent Kyle to school 4 times based on what I spent on travel ball since he was 10 years old. LOL But he is playing where he wants to play. Tell Tommy congrats for me.

John it was great meeting you and your son.I think everyone left the weekend very excited about the direction that the program is headed. It was nice to see how the boys hit it off right away too.

On another note, the Clippers can now add RHP Jamie Schultz to the list as he committed to High Point while on his visit Sunday.

Congratulations Jamie !!

How can you lay cliam to Jamie Schultz, he played maybe four games with you. The real credit should go to the coaching staff of the East Greenbush Schodack Devilcats

Upstate,
we don't lay claim to anyone nor do we say they are going anywhere becuase of us. his credit as a player could go to anyone, his hs coach, ll coach, parents and yes the Devil Cats. We do know this for sure, he was seen by High Point playing with us.

There are many kids here that were with us for 1 summer, others numerous summers and some for a few weeks. All we/I posted here are kids that did play with us this summer, where they're going and giving them a congratulations.

Thank You to the Devil Cats for not going to East Cobb and thus giving Jamie and 3 other players the opportunity to seek out other options. We took them and they were well coached and good kids. We enjoyed them for them 2 weeks they were with us.

The Devil Cats are a very good program from the Albany area with very good players, The 4 I saw this summer left no doubt.

Just to requote from above:

Way to handle your reply with tact Coach! Not that you need to hear it from me, but your reply to "upstate" was done withb respect and tact. It's good to see that on display here! So many times, people start jumping down each others throats.

Thank You Brother....

The last of the guys who played with us this summer just committed. LHP Chris Connelly is headed to St Peter's in the MAAC conference. Congratulations to Chris and his mom and dad!!!

We have played in a just few tournaments this fall and have a few new guys who joined us for these events. If good things happen for them we'll be sure to include them here.

This was a really enjoyable summer with great kids and support from families.

I would like to take a moment and congratulate Blake Aquadro LHP (Youngstown State Univ.) from Tenn and Daniel Parham OF/SS (Villanova Univ)from Broken Arrow, OK on their college committments. These 2 players were a part of the Perfect Game Dark Green-NY team that I coached in Jupiter. They both signed their NLI's last week.

Blake played this summer with Coach Snuez and the East Coast Greys'

Upstate,
Not that Coach Merc needs me to say anything about your comment, but having played for him I know just how capable he is of getting scouts to watch the clippers play. Having said that I think many of the boys on this list would agree that if it wasn't for the help and dedication of Coach Merc and the Clippers organization we would not be going to the schools that we are.I wouldn't be going where I am if it wasn't for him. Bottom line is if you want to get exposure you get it playing for the clippers. And if your statement was true then why didn't that kid commit while playing for the Devilcats?

Thanks for a great summer Coach, your bud from Boston

Congratulations to Matt Gainey and his family. Matt has committed to Jacksonville University for next fall.
Matt played a few events with us last fall and has been to all our workouts this winter. He will be apart of our 2009 team.

Congratulations are also in order to Ed Spittaletta and his family on Ed's committment to Coach Leighton and the Jaspers of Manhattan College.

Ed will play the OF for us this summer as he did last fall.

Coach Merc,

Job well done. Best of luck to all those kids. There are always lots of people involved in any players success and you have stated that. I will state that you and the Clippers are definitely one of those that was involved.

Coach Merc,

I am new to this web site, but have read a lot of your posts. This past year my son has had more fun and enjoyed his experience playing baseball for you and Mike with the World Yacht Clippers. Your and Mike's advice and guidance is immeasurable! If you ask our son what would he have done differently, he would have said we wish we ran into you sooner. You know what I mean..........
Keep up the good work with the players and your dedication to teaching the game, working with players and families to get them into Colleges and turn out to be good young men. Good luck with Michael and Joe Jr. See you soon "Brother".
