We received notification today that our son was accepted early decision to Haverford College in Haverford, PA. We are all so thrilled and wanted to thank the HSBBWEB community for all the helpful information. As our son was a late bloomer physically, we did not get started on the athletic part of the college search until within the last year. This site was instrumental in getting us up to speed on what we needed to do quickly to identify potential schools and get our son noticed by the coaches he wanted to attract attention from. We are so happy that our son's top choice in a school and a baseball program ended up being the same school and that is where he will spend his college days.

A special thanks goes out to Haverdad for his knowledge shared through this site as well as intercontinental phone and email communication!

Congrats to both your son and yourself as well. I make it to several games a year. Nice park and pretty campus. Maybe we'll bump into each other.

Plash3 - Thanks! Say hello if you see me...I'll be in a green reclining folding chair. My son was wanting to catch a couple of games this spring, but with his high school schedule it doesn't look good for that. But I'll hope to be at most games in spring of 2010 when he is a freshman there.

Haverford is a great choice. I've always thought a lot of Coach Beccaria - even back to his Hopkins days.

I hope things work out well for your son.

Thanks...we've been very impressed with Coach Beccaria as well, and heard great things from many parents and players we talked to. He has a very personal touch with the recruiting and is an active communicator.
