I may be wrong, but I seem to recall St. John's being ranked extremely high this past year -- like in the top 3 nationwide -- by PGCrosschecker. Congrats to all! applaude

Actually they finished # 95 -- but with all those guys being seniors, look for a much higher finish in 2008.

congrats to all of those boys.....they're great ball players, good kids and definately will be on one of the best baseball teams this coming spring in the Washington DC metropolitan area. St. Johns plays in the WCAC or otherwise known as the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, simply one of the best baseball conferences historically in the region, but they will definately face some good competition in their own conference. Paul VI High School in Fairfax Va, also plays in the WCAC and currently has 3 seniors verbally committed to D-1 schools. Also keep an eye out for Notre Dame Academy in the Virginia suburbs. In the public school arena also around the extended suburbs of the Washington DC metro area you'll have VA State Champs, James River HS which also will be very talented, and Oakton HS in Vienna Va.

Paul VI High School D1 commits: finished #68 Nationally

Brett Bowers, MIF/3B, 6'3", East Carolina
Matt Murakami, MIF, 6'2", Maryland
Peter Verdin, OF, 6'1", Georgia

Oakton High School D1 commits:

Alfred Rodriguez, MIF, 6'1", Maryland
Kevin Wager, 3B/RHP, 6'4", Villanova
Keith Werman, C/MIF, 5'9", Virginia

James River High School D1 commits: finished #30 Nationally

Daniel Marrs, RHP, 6'3", Wake Forest
Austin Stadler, 1B/LHP/OF, 6'2", Wake Forest

Notre Dame Academy D1 commits: finished #42 Nationally

Ryan Crosby, RHP, 5'11", VCU
Chris Forsten, C, 6'1", William & Mary

It's going to be a great spring season of baseball coming up for everyone and I'm sure the college commitments will grow for all of these schools.

Wow -- I'd hate to be a junior at that school this year!

So SJC ended the year at #95. Perhaps I saw their higher ranking earlier in the season. Regardless, it sounds like a phenomenal program.
