I'm very happy to announce that Mike Zenko from John I. Leonard High School signed with Lipscomb University in Nashville. Mike played sparingly the last two seasons because he was diagnosed with Chrohn's Disease and underwent surgery earlier this year. As a freshman and sophomore Mike arguably was the top pitching prospect in Palm Beach County, ahead of Chris Volstad (16th overall pick) and Tyler Herron (46th.)

I've known Mike since he was five years old and I know that he and his family are very happy. They have gone through a great deal over the last couple seasons and deserve the best.

I personally thank the folks at Lipscomb for taking a chance on Mike, who by the end of his college career may be one of the top pitchers in the country.

CanesFan,

That is great news!

I agree with you that Mike might be one of the top college pitchers before he's done.

This is good for him and even better for Lipscomb.

We remember him well from his Freshman, soph days. He was one of the best pitching prospects in his class. Last time we saw him he was still pretty darn good.

We wish him the very best and will follow his career closely.
