I don't know your son, however, Salisbury is one of the region's, if not the country's, top-tier DIII baseball programs.

The roster has several players that could have easily played DI, and a couple that are legitimate Pro prospects. Just take a look who leads one of the nation's top summer wood bat leagues; The Cal Ripken League, in batting...a young man from Salisbury; Mike Celenza. Celenza currently has the third highest average in CRSCBL history and a recent article suggests he could break it before the end of the season.

My point being that your son Chris is obviously a very accomplished student athlete for coach Fleetwood to bring him into the Salisbury baseball program.

Much congratulations to you and Chris and best of luck this upcoming season.

Peace and God's Blessings...
Shane

Interesting Bear....and by the looks of their '08 roster, they will have 3 returning catchers. Should make for interesting Fall workouts!

Chris...again, congratulations and sincere best wishes!

With Tyler Riley being a Sr in 2008, and doing most of the catching to start the season, one would think the job behind the dish in 2009 is wide open.

Not so.

Since (Fr 2008) Andrew Miller caught the Regional games at the end of last year and hits, and (Jr 2008) Mike Loomis is in a back-up role, least one forget LHH 1b (So 2008) Mike Celenza caught in HS!

Bottom Line: A few were surprised Coach Fleetwood keep four catchers in 2008, although three were underclassman. For 2009, should the trend continue, Miller will be catching full time (vs playing the OF) to begin the season.

Congrats to you Chris. I have seen you play. Continue to work hard both on and off the field.

hmmmmm....

Once again, I think the idea of the original post was one of congrats and what a solid program who've been selected to play for! Congrats Chris (cboz18) and with some hard work and luck you too will see time behind the dish...ignore the rest of the know-it-all dribble...

Bear, I'm going to refrain from turning this congratulatory thread for Chris Bozman into an exchange of insults between you and I and others.

However, I do like how you have edited & rewritten your second post.
It reads much friendlier and much more informative, ......now.

How do you know the initial post is not a self-congratulary blog?
