Since this was from the 2001 draft did any of these DFE get signed and if so how are they progressing now.

Without doing some extensive research looking up each DFE, it would be hard to do. I do know that 5 of the 12 from last years DFE list were signed. I would guess that they rely on the DFE program a lot.
