I dropped off my son at the Pittsburgh Pirates training facility on Saturday and he signed on Monday. He made an informed decision and a mature one. HE took charge and let it be known what he wanted. He believes that he will make it and is willing to give it his best. He also knows the down side as well and is ready to accept the challenge. He is already having the time of his life.

We never would have come to this place if not for the HSBBW. I have learned so much and it has been invaluable. It was quite a ride over the last 2 years.

I will miss him, he is my hero and one of the strongest people that I know. He is also my best friend. I am so proud of what he has accomplished. I am luckier than most in that he is only 2 1/2 hours from home and I will get to see him throw most of his outings.

To all those that have helped make their son's dreams come true, I applaud you and wish you the best.

Best of luck to Eric....I know he has worked very hard for this opportunity. And, of course, congrats to mom and dad for their support along the way to help make this dream come true. clap
