A question for some who know. Do the pro scouts concern themselves with your college stats or is it simalar to high school where they could care less and just look at what you have tool wise? This question is for a pitcher, more so than a position player.

A college players stats mean more, particularly to the stat oriented teams i.e. Oakland, Boston Toronto etc.

That "Moneyball" philosophy has some validity but for the most part is the "flavor of the week". I don't care how good a players stats are in college, if he doesn't have the "tools" to play the game, it will catch up to him sooner or later.

"PROJECTIBILITY" is the key word for pro scouts-- more of what he will do down the road rather than what has he done to date
