I am a college freshman who is thinking about dropping out of school after this spring (personal problems). Would that allow me to be eligible to sign with a pro organization the following spring and/or be draft eligible as a 20 year old? My dad said that once you step on to a college campus, the next time you can be drafted is when you are 21, but I would assume that if you aren't a college athlete then the 21 year old rule wouldn't apply. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you considered transfering to a Juco. That will make you draft eligible next year. Without doing that I believe you will not be draft eligible next year. However, don't take that to the bank, without checking further. I bet BBScout or someone else here knows the answer to your question.

Send me a persoal message and tell me who you are and what school your at. Presently, you would not be elgible for this draft or next years draft. AND to be able to sign as a free agent in the USA you must have been elgible to be drafted in the completed years draft 1st.
