With the upcoming baseball draft near, I had a few questions about the major league draft. My son is currently a 6'4, 220 lb, college senior. He is a left handed pitcher. During the past 2 years he has received the following:
1. About 11 Major league questionaires. 2. 1 physc test 3. Was called by 1 major league team during the 1st day of last years draft about his interest in getting drafted his jr year. 4. Was video taped this spring by 2 major league scouts. 5. Fast ball has been clocked between 86-87 as a starter, and 88-89 and a reliever. 6. Also pocesses split finer pitch and slider. 7. Has talked briefly with 3 scouts during the past couple of years.
In reading this, anyone want to speak on what chance he has getting picked up this year?

Your son sounds like he has a legitimate chance in getting drafted. However, since he is now a senior he might slip into the low rounds.
The information you have provided makes it seem like someone is interested in him, hopefully enough to sign him to a Minor League Contract.
Even if he's not drafted, he might be approached after the draft and asked to sign a minor league free agent contract.
