That is not always true! And every player deserves to be advised whether a first rounder or 50th rounder...The draft process is very confusing and each player and parent should not be left in the dark or taken advantage of!

Good luck to all!
You come here trolling for clients when your earlier posts show you know nothing about the job. You're pathetic!

ISPM Member posted May 03, 2004 04:45 PM May 03, 2004 04:45 PM My question is this...if you get approached by an advisor/agent prior to the draft and you get drafted, what may the advisor do during negotiations? Does anyone have any past experience with advisors and how they helped you. Did you pay them for their services?
ISPM Member posted April 13, 2004 05:21 PM April 13, 2004 05:21 PM Quick question...if a high school senior is drafted and has an advisor work with him throughout the draft, how is he paid because techically he never negotiated with the team directly or indirectly? So all of you that are taking 5% commission on the signing bonus acting as their advisor, how does that work? Also, some of you said you are representing them as an agent; does the team know this, because there goes your leverage (if the team is aware the player has an agent there goes his eligibility).

Did you ever think that since this is an educational forum that I may be posting questions that I know, yet others don't? As an attorney, I was always taught to never ask a question that I didn't know the answer to...just some food for thought.
And all the questions I did ask are questions that tred a gray area of NCAA requirements...even Mr. Boras would have a different answer to these. I've actually researched and written papers on these issues, because every person you ask regarding these issues have an alternative response.
But, thanks for doing research on me I'm flattered.
All this time and you still haven't done anything with your site.....seek some professional web advice...please....pop-up this pop-up that. You lose all credibility with an Angelfire subdomain.

Tell me again how many major-league players you guys posting on here represent and if you are actually certified and recognized by the Commissioner's office as Player Agents? Tell me how you would handle an arbitration hearing or file a grievance on behalf of your clients? How many GM's and Player Personnel directors do you have on your speed dial? I do not want to trust my son's one and only shot at his baseball career to someone who may be using him as a "guinea pig" to learn the business. Nothing personal to anyone in particular.

For a NY minute, I wondered why TSW chased attorney's (and media) from the clubhouse........ ...a) they eat the buffet ...b) they ask questions they already know the answers to...
