We are going to Oneonta All star village in August and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or recomendations for lodging. Pros and avoids. Possibly 2 families could share a house too. How far away is realistic?

when my team played at the c-town dreamspark, alot of parents stayed at the otesaga hotel. can't beat the location, backyard is the lake where we went waterskiing and fishing after the tournament. not sure about the cost, but doubt it was cheap.

My son's team played at the All Star Village the summer of 2005. We used Cooperstownstay.com as our source for housing information. There are a lot of options and Lonetta is extremely helpful. Hope that helps. We had a great time there. We played at Dreams Park and All Star Village and everyone enjoyed All Star Village more.

When we went to Dreamspark in 05, we rented a house with another family, it worked out great and saved money. We had a 5 min. drive to the park. Plus we where able to bring the kids to the house for a BBQ. Some parents rented apartments.

When husband and son bunked at the Dreams Park at COoperstown we stayed at the Meadowlark Inn, about 20 minutes away. It has about 8 rooms and a huge backyard, for cooking out, etc. The owners are wonderful and accomodating, and I think every family from our area has stayed there since. Book in advance though...way in advance!!

An important thing to keep in mind is that the All Star Village is in Oneonta. That is probably 30 minutes away from Dreams Park. If you are looking to stay close to the All Star Village, you'll want to stay in or around Oneonta.
