We will be going to NBC World Series starting July 28, any ideas about where to stay, where to eat and what to do in Wichita? Thanks

There are both good and bad parts of Wichita, From what I recall the NE and SE parts are the places to stay. Old Town is a good place to eat and it is close to Dumont Field. And if you're interested in touring Wichita State it is much nicer than what one would expect and has incredible Baseball facilities

There are plenty of great places to stay and eat in Wichita.. I, too, prefer the east side. Old town (good dining choices)is right next to LD Stadium where you'll be playing (although there are 2 other sites, all great)... there's also a great zoo, an awesome ice skating center, a brand new water park (very nice on a hot day) in Derby, just a few miles down the road. If you've got little siblings, take them to Exploration Place, a hands on treat for kids from 5-17... have fun and good luck.
