Does anyone know of a good hotel around there? Prefedibly somewhere near Pirate City but even a 5 or 10 min drive wouldn't be that bad. The places I have already stayed are; The Holiday Inn Riverfront, Day's Inn, Quailty Inn, and the Hampton Inn. I already have a place to stay this year for Pirate stping training but I was wondering for next year. The Quality Inn was garbage to say the least (the shower head was held up with what apperared to be ankle tape), we got ripped off at the Days Inn. The Holiday Inn riverfront was the best, and the cleanest I have stayed at so far. Thanks.

My son played summer ball last year at the img
academy summer league at Pirate City. The boys stayed at the days inn, which is 5 minutes from there-it is a typical days inn but it also has an arby's attached to it.The Pirates also own the Inn and Suites on Cortez, which is where there latino minor leaguers stay-it is much nicer than the days inn,not as nice as the holiday inn riverfront. The minor leaguers play dominoes in the lobby since they have no cars!!
The nicest and most expensive hotel is the holiday inn riverfront-have fun!!!

A new Holiday Inn Express will be opening on the 1st of March and it's only 4 miles from the ball park.

My son played all summer at IMG and stayed at the Cay Club Sarasota, which is close to everything. It's not a bad place, but not great.

I live in Bradenton but I don't know of any nice hotels in that area. There's a Comfort Suites Hotel on University that looks pretty nice. The address is Sarasota but it's actually closer to Pirate City than downtown Bradenton-about a 10 minute drive. It's in a much nicer area...plenty of decent restaurants, etc. nearby. 941-360-2626
