Stanford/Fullerton Series
Stanford/Kansas Series

Kind of hard to tell how good Stanford is so far...terrific freshman class, but a little inconsistent at this point.

Fullerton was a bit flat. They came in ranked #5 and didn't look like it. But its early.

Kansas is decent...hits well and decent pitching. Can do some damage in the Big 12.

So far, I've seen Long Beach at Cal. That was a bit rough. Players weren't that sharp on Friday. Today, I saw USF at Sac State. Again, not that sharp as USF made 4 errors. Also have seen a couple juco games. But, its sunny and warm and we're on the way and that is what matters the most right now.

Hoping to catch the Texas at Stanford game next Sunday.

We saw the USD / Texas series. Go TORERO'S. USD played consistant solid baseball. Texas came out flat. I was expecting a lot more.

So far I've watched a local JC game and...

Long Beach/USC
Long Beach/CAL

The weather in Berkeley was quite a surprise, not what you would expect at all this time of year. Let's just say I'm looking a little bit like a raccoon. coolgleam

That isn't a good sign that you're wearing the bear. I didn't see how today's game went, but your avatar makes it look like it didn't go the dirtbags way.

I did enjoy visiting with you on Friday. Hope #2 son enjoyed himself in the sunshine.

Mr. Moose, if I understand correctly, you road tripped to Irvine, will road trip to Fullerton...but watched from the luxury of your river bed/lake contemporary to watch streaming video from...Hawaii. Eek dizzy Logistical issues with getting a highly resourceful moose in his tidy whities on a flight to the islands???? no

With apologies in advance to Joyce Kilmer....

I think that I shall never see
A mascot wiser than 'the tree'.
The tree that looks towards Cal each day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
With branches pointed towards the air
And whispers ‘Wish I were a Bear’. bear1

Regarding Hawaii road trips...

While son's team has no scheduled games there and no plans to...

Have scheduled a trip to the islands to see son's team play...will be enjoying the tropical breezes, the warm water, the lazy lifestyle...

I'll be there...

waiting...

Happily...

If harassing the guys in blue doesn't pan out, you might want to consider a career in writing children's books/poetry. I volunteer to be your illustrator ...

Re: Hawaii trip....The pro bowl (nfl) was the same weekend as series....Prices for flying, hotels and car rental were shocking ....but bottom line, Bullwinkle is a cheap basta*d. dirol

Hawaii has steaming video that cost only 9.95 per game...that's right up Bullwinkles' alley.

Lastly, it's 85 degrees outside, and the Corona (the beer not the city) was ice cold. Plus it gave me a chance to wear my new "I Love HSBBWeb" tighty whities....thanks MN-Mom!! Bullwinkle got sunburn in the lower extremities, but its OK....Bullwinkle is now peeling.

(Photos to be posted at a later time.)

COMPLAINT and GRIEVANCE:

Mn-Mom: After thinking about the sunburn in the nether regions over a martini lunch at JJ ”Purty” Landers Irish Pub, Bullwinkle has concluded that the size of the “I love HSBBWeb” tighty whities are to a great extent, too small. The 45 degree angle of sunburn implies that my bulky posterior has turned the tighty whities into a thong. For the past three days I have been wondering why my neighbor has had a rather ghastly gaze on her face, and has been avoiding the Bullwinkle. I believe that you, Mn-Mom, intentionally sent a poorly constructed article of clothing to demean and degrade the Bullwinkle. I am dismayed that you have decided to use your power as the web mistress to such an evil purpose.

(Mrs. Itsinthegame has PM’d me a request to email a photo of Bullwinkle in said tighty whities so as she can use it as a Valentine Background on Itsinthegame computer. Rather, please send a case of undergarments to Itsinthegame. I don’t begin understand the east coast mentality, and I don’t know what sick game she is up to, but Mrs. Itsinthegame; whatever floats your boat.)

Hmmm ... could that be because they saw you in your tighty whities?
