We'll see ya there! Wink

And I guess we'll see that great DLS pitcher one way or another (I wish in Game 4, but I got a feeling it'll be later that day). Red Face

I'd appreciate any input you may have as to how Moorpark stacks up against the Nor-Cal teams. I don't have a kid on the team but it is interesting to follow the home town team.

If I see them play, I will let you know what I thought (if I remember - age is an ugly thing you know Eek).

We're playing in the Willie Stargell Classic over in Alameda, so won't see you all at the West Coast Classic. Have fun and good luck!

justbaseball,
Thanks. I keep forgetting how old I am for some reason so age doesn't bother me at all unless I forget and look in a mirror. Smile

CADad -
Moorpark lost by 1 run to take 4th place. I wasn't able to see them play to tell you more than that.

The tournament was quite a pitching challenge with a 4 games-in-3 days format and a great roster of 16 teams from various leagues. Son's team went L-W-W-W ending up with the consolation championship.

RHP05P,
Thanks. I'm pretty sure they played Westlake, another team from the Marmonte league in the 3rd place game. I've heard that Moorpark lost their best pitcher/hitter to an ankle injury just before the tournament. If that was true then the pitching was even more of a challenge.

Sounds like your son's team did pretty well. Hope your son had a good tournament.

Coincidentally, my son has a De La Salle national championship shirt he got from a relative attending the girl's school associated with De La Salle.

Thx, CADad. Son did fine and got one of the "W's. Glad yours likes his DLS shirt. The school does play another sport or two besides baseball. Cool

CADad - RHP05Parent's son did more than fine. I saw his game (was against our team) and he looked very good. Complete game, 1 run allowed.

What do they play at DeLaSalle besides baseball? Cool
