I just received the information packet in the mail for the 2005 Junior Olympics. Trombly Baseball will be sending 2 teams (1 team is guaranteed, pretty sure the 2nd will get in) to the tournament in AZ. The 2005 "JO West" tournament will be held June 17-25 in Peoria and Surprise.

We are looking for a few players to play with us for the JO's. In the past 3 years we have grown to one of the best organizations in the country. Here are some stats on us:

-Our 18U team has gone 15-2 in the past 2 months with 2 tournament championships and 1 2nd place finish in 3 tournaments.

-Our program currently has 10 '05 Grads and 2 '06 Grads that have committed to D-1 schools.

-Our 16U team went 14-2 last summer to win the OC Mickey Mantle league.

-Our 16U team won a National Championship this summer by winning the Super 7 World Series in Georgia.

-Our 16U program is the ranked #5 in the country (WWBA).

-Our 16U teams have won 3 tournaments in the past 6 months.

The bottom line is the JO's are a can't miss opportunity. There are a lot of very good teams that will be attending and I encourage teams to post contact info on this thread to let players know who is looking for players. That is why I titled the thread simply "Junior Olympics" not TB looking for players.

The benefits of playing with Trombly Baseball are that teams from throughout the country will know who we are. I believe that if you play on one of our teams that you will have a shot to win the tournament and get a good look by the USA Baseball commitee.

As I said above, this event is a very good opportunity and I recommend that 16U players in So Cal seriously consider attending. We, Trombly Baseball, will provide you with a great opportunity to compete at the event. We only have room room for a few select players, but I'm sure that other teams will post contact info below for playing with them.

I wish all players and teams that attend the JO's good luck!!

If you are interested in attending the JO's w/ Trombly Baseball, please contact one of the following teams:

Steve,

I really don't know anything about the Junior Olympics process. Is the tournament for 16 and Under teams? What is the birthday cutoff date? Can you explain the tournament process a bit for those of us who are unfamiliar with it?

Smile
