We live in So Ca, and have been kicking the idea around about dethatching the infield. We are a little new at it so can anyone tell us any advice on type of equipment and steps we should take. What time of year ect. Smile

bucs,
We may not want to answer this question around most of the county right now. I see snow out my window. Frown

Sorry to hear about snow on ground. But I need to do something about my infield. The only thing I can come up with is to dethath it. But I'm little a gun shy on cutting it up, If you know what I mean?

Bucs - This is way out of my league, but I do know that our HS field is dethatched every year (Bay Area), but I'm not sure when it is done. If you want to PM me, I would be happy to give you the name of the guy who takes care of the field for us.
