Anybody know who won the West regional?

According to BaseballResource, it is the California Oaks, and I think they are near or out of Simi Valley (based on what little info I could glean from their webisite)

Thanks .Mom for pointing out Baseball Resource. It's actually the OC Renegades that are moving on to Farmington, a right they earned by beating a very talented AZ Firebird team twice on Sunday.

Seems to be a bit of controversy regarding the Renegades roster, and it makes for some interesting reading over on the BR message board. I always wondered where all the SoCal posters were.

My congrats go out to the Renegades players and coaches. Look forward to a phenomenal baseball experience in Farmington.

The AZ Firebirds are going to Farmington!!! SoCal Renegades DQ'd by AABC. No official word on the ruling, but it appears that AABC made the change on the basis of an inelligble player.

The Firebirds, runners up in the West Regional, will be only the second team to represent Arizona in the CMWS. Congrats to the Firebirds.

Bummer about the Renegades though. It's a shame that a coaches mistake cost these kids an opportunity of a lifetime.
