What are the most important Profile stats to have on each of our players?

Height, Weight, GPA, SAT, Grad Year, Bat/Throws, Pop Time, 60yd Time, Throwing Velocity (Non-pitcher), Pitching Velocity.

We are trying to put together the best profile we can for each of our players, but really don't know what's really important to coaches/scouts...

Thanks,

Would also suggest birthdate and for pitching ... show what type of gun was used (i.e., stalker, Jugs) and perhaps the date of the radar reading.

Pioneer Baseball;
What you are sending to the scouts and college coaches is basic information which is received daily from many other players.

Since 1983, I have received over 7,000 profiles from parents and a few from the players themselves for our Goodwill Series International events and the Area Code tryouts.

My profile as presented on our web site <www.goodwillseries.org> contains a few basic questions, which if answered truthfully by the player will create an interest to send a letter to the player. When we travel Internationally, we have two weeks with a player and then we can relate to a college coach information which may or may not generate interest. Our coaches are pro scouts and their recommendation are creditable.

If you wish to meet, I will be a Vanguard University on the 10 September noon to 5 PM with players ages 13-18 who have indicated an
interest to travel Internationally or recently return from our trip to China.

On the 24 September, we have a catchers, infielders and hitting clinic in Northern California.

FutureBack.Mom,

Thanks for the info.

Consultant,
I appreciate the info contained on your profile. I was talking to my son and he was curious about the Goodwill Series XVI Japan - America. An older brother of a friend of his was involved with this for many years and their family hosted for a number of years. Do you have any details about the 2005 and/or 2006 series? He would be interested in playing depending on schedules. My son is 1/2 Japanese. Several other members of his 2005/2006 16 & Under travel team may also have an interest. Please let me know. If schedules work out, we'll try and come to meet you at VU.

Thanks,

Tim;
In 2006, our American Team of 16-18 year old players will depart for Japan on June 7 for a 6 game Goodwill Series #15 against the very strong Prefecture Teams.

The pro scouts will identify the players from the USA. All players will receive a tryout and interview.

In 1991, our American Team played the National Teams of Korea and Japan.
Players were Chang Ho Park, H. Matsui, Nomar, Jason Kendall and Geoff Jenkins. Over 40% of our American players have reach the Major Leagues.
