Do you mean that the players are all young or that the team is relatively new? The age range for Connue Mack is whatever it is ... some teams choose to invite younger players (our son played when he was 16, which is actually Mickey Mantle level) and may even choose to have the majority of their players be young. You just have to ask yourself some questions ... what is the coach's history? the team's history? Who else is on the team ... highly visible players or as is the case with some teams, players who work out at a specific "baseball school" that the coach runs? Lots of questions to ask before signing on with the team ... Remember, you sign a "contract" that could hold you to the team even if you want to leave and play for some other Connie Mack team ... and no matter what the "legal ramifications" of the contract are, there are ethical questions that need to be considered should you decide you want to leave. Just some food for thought ...

Play for the best team possible. But bottom line, play. Last summer my son played in the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington NM. Over 7,000 fans are in attendance, the games are front page of the newspaper, all games on live radio, a parade for the players, players live with families that treat them like their own children. On and on. Great times and memories. Last years team was young, and they are getting together to try again....
