Dang, a new thread! I thought this forum had died a quiet death. Red Face

I'll offer two of the better ones around to get things started. In the Sacramento area, Elk Grove and Jesuit. Davis is also very good and they're near to Sacramento.

.
Year in and year out, The WCAL (Bellarmine, Serra, Valley Christian, Mitty, St Francis...et al) teams on the penninsula South of San Francisco are always mentioned among the best in the state and the country for that matter.

Cool 44

IMHO, the East Bay always puts up some quality teams as well. Can't rule out Monte Vista, San Ramon and Cal.

In Baseball America's final Top 50 High School Poll back in June, Bellarmine Prep was the only Norcal school on the list (at 7th).

But I'd agree that the other schools from "Religion Row" are always highly regarded.

No offense YRkilling me, but in 2006 Bishop O'Dowd HS in Oakland, despite being a school of a little over 1000 students beat DeLaSalle and California high, to get to the NCS 3A (large schools) title game, only to lose to AHS. Better include those two schools.

The TRAC conference of the Fesno/Clovis area always produce good athletic teams...and they always beat-up on each other!!

brod -
Agree AHS had a good program last year, but I have to go with UKMB's choices too since De La Salle won in 2005 and Monte Vista, Cal, BOD & SRV have taken their share of titles! No sense jumping to put a school in the "best" category for a single win. All of these programs have been in the playoffs year after year. In the East Bay we are lucky to have several great schools with winning baseball programs! Cool

Dogleg, are you looking to move in the area and are looking for suggestions on schools?

What area are you looking for, as you may know, Northern California is a pretty large area.

Are you looking for a private or public school?
