The local high school season started yesterday. There were some pretty good performances turned in already.

Lars Anderson of Jesuit went 2 for 3, reached base 4 times including a double, HR, 4 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Nice start to the season.

Who else got off to a good start?

Son's team played Franklin of EG.
Triple first at bat with wind blowing into rt. field.
should have been gone.
Thats a huge field.Triple, 3 walks and a pop up.
He took a no hitter into the fourth.
Six errors behind him before the 4th, but Franklin only scored 1.
left game after 4th, 89 pitches.
Team should get better as the season rolls on, I hope.
Good athletes they just don't play any select ball.
When they learn how to take the ball the other way on an outside pitch instead of trying to jack one. they will score some more run's. The EH

Preseason started here in So Cal last Sat... I know that big guns, according to the California Baseball Zone, Marina High beat Long Beach Wilson, 2 out of 3 I Think....

We played Carpinteria... we beat ourselves with 6 errors in the first inning...after that horrendous inning, the game was a close 3-1 game :-)
