1) Poway 2) Granite Hills 3) Mira Mesa 4) Cathedral( I was at the game against St. Augstine, great game and SOJO pitched well against them last year). Not sure about everyone else, depends on returnign seniors. I also wanted to speak to you surflust. Can you PM me in the future. Bum

Last year, Cathedral beat #1, #2, and #3 on your list.
They also are returning almost all players (save 1 starting pitcher and 1 part-time outfielder) from last year.
Not saying I want to be high in anyone's poll...prefer to be the underdog or "stealth" team. Unfortunately, I think the word is out. It will be interesting to see what the U-T says in its preseason poll. St Augustine had better drop out completely...they overachieved to make that final game, plus they graduated a lot of players. Same with UC, La Jolla, and to a lesser extent Mission Bay.
I think Poway will take D1, Grossmont D2, and Cathedral D3.

i think some of the top teams in san diego this year will be..... cathedral poway valhalla grossmont vista el cap montgomery oceanside ...no particular order, but baseballbum i think granite hills is in the same boat as UC, they may have won it last year but they are in a bit of a rebuilding process this year

Alright some San Diego baseball talk. My son was fortunate to play summer ball and play on that Cathedral field. One of the best fields, if not the best HS Baseball field. Puts a lot of DIV1 homefields to shame. I didn't know that about Cathedral, they should be poised to win. I know one thing is for sure, I will be attending many games this year.
