Are you coming down to the Cal State Fullerton series? I plan to be in attendance at least 2 of the games (may need to visit the Dirtbags with hubby one of the games) and hopefully sitting with 123K. Would love to say "howdy" ...

Just purchased tickets for the Fullerton/Dirtbag series and will be at the March 25th & 26th games. Do you still plan on going to any of these games? Look forward to meeting you.
Also plan on attending the the UCD games against Stanford on May 2nd and CAL on May 24th at Davis. Son's ex-High School teammate plays for Davis and I will be sitting with his Mom. Hope to catch a sighting of some of the HSBBW posters' sons and their parents if they will be in attendance.

I was just talking with my husband tonight about our plans to go to spring training in Tucson. It looks like we may be going that week and miss the week-end series. It appears that we might have his wife (gee, that looks very strange) drive home with us as she needs to head to her final weeks of student teaching and they are only planning to take one car to Tucson when they go in Feb. I will keep you posted, tho.
By the way, when you go to the UCD games, you might need to whisper some cheers for 123KMOM's son Jeff (with Stanford) and URKillingMeBlue's son Nick (with Cal) while you are cheering aloud for Davis.
By the way ... we know one of the freshman at Davis ... Sean Rooney. His older brother Patrick is at Pepperdine and he is one of AJ's high school and Little League all star teammates who journeyed to Williamsport in '95 with him. Small world, heh?

DB2BMom - As FutureDBackMom surmises, chances are very good that I will be at the UCDavis/Cal Game in May and would enjoy meeting you!
Also, I'm planning to be at the Cal/UC-Irvine game next weekend (for sure on Sunday and hopefully on Saturday, too) -- in whatever form Bullwinkle has manifested himself, I would like to meet him, too -- with or without his sidekick (squirrel)...
JustBB - Congrats on the well deserved pre-season promos! E will be great this year and I can't wait to see him (with one slight caviat). Good luck!

I presume the Cal/UCI series is up north ... please try to look up a very very good friend of mine from UCI. Her name is KC Koehler (pronounced kay-ler). I am sure she and her hubby John will be there. I will tell her to look for you. She is one of my closest friends.

Congrats and best wishes to all the parents with sons starting their seasons at Stanford, Cal, Long Beach, Irvine, Davis...Wow!!! I have been forlornly clicking on my son's college website knowing in the next few days his name will disappear as a graduated senior. What great memories. My forlornness(????????) went away on Monday when a large package arrived for him from the Blue Jays Spring training facility. Hope each of you can experience every opportunity to watch your sons. IMO, college ball is the best. Justbb, might consider a stop at the "Old Pro" to calm those nerves. Is there anything better than the anxiety of the parent of a pitcher, and a top pitcher at that?

I have calmed many a nerve in the Old Pro and can fully attest to its effectiveness. I am hoping the homeplate umpire this weekend is the one who does the moonwalk when calling strikes. We'll be listening for Mom19's critique. BTW, does anyone beside me see some humor with URKB keeping that logo while posting with the Cal avatar. Which "Blue" is the focus? If I were their pitching coach I might be a little...anxious. Oh yes, I know a place in Berkeley to calm some nerves also. One other item, aren't we scheduled to see some Bullwinkle antleers roaming Evans Diamond soon?
