Most leagues should be finishing up. How are your teams looking for the playoffs? Any predictions?

Well our HS just sneaked in winning a playoff game to make the playoffs. Unfortunately the team's ace hurt his ankle and may not be able to play. They've still got a couple pretty solid pitchers but without the ace and not having great hitting I don't think they'll go far. The first two teams have a pretty good chance to make some waves. Royal has solid pitching and very good hitting, while Agoura has excellent pitching and fairly good hitting. I'm pretty sure those two are ranked in the top 10 in CIF-SS Div I.

Our team won the league with a 10-2 record. But other than us, the league was pretty mediocre. Not a real good judge when going into CIF. But should be fun, playoffs are a whole different season, and every team needs to dial it up a notch. Good luck to all the participants for a great season, and now we will see what ya got!

dadchs20,
DP? A little south of what I'd call central coast but the only one I could find with that record. If so you had a good game against our school in the Easton Tournament.

CADAD -
In the north, the Central Coast Section playoffs start next week and the North Coast Section still has one more week of regular season play. The final game for the North Coast Sections is June 4th. (So far, son's team is in 1st place in league. Smile )

CIF-SS playoff pairings have been posted at www.cifss.org. The Marmonte league plays the Foothill league in every game for some reason.

The Marmonte league was 2-1 in the first round of the playoffs with #2 seed Royal defeating Valencia, Hart defeating Agoura in extra innings and Moorpark shutting out #3 seed Saugus.
