Does anyone have any direct experience with Earlham, Wabash or Rose-Hulman relative to the baseball programs, coaching staffs, fall season updates for recently signed 09 grads and academics>?
Considering a recruiting trip to these three soon.

Might want to add Depauw to your list if you're looking in that area.

My 2009 Son visited both Rose and DePauw for baseball and was given verbals of roster spots at each school.

Rose: I can't say enough about Coach Jenkins. What an outstanding man, and he wins regularly. Of the 10-12 DIII coaches in the midwest that we met, he stood out from all of them in my mind. If your son is a good student and wants to study engineering or science, Rose has a lot to offer. My son really thought long and hard about playing at Rose, but in the end, his academic interest was too far from what Rose offers.

DePauw: They have had coaching changes. Coach Martin, who is the interim coach, is a good guy. I'd want to get some input from administration regarding whether the "interim" tag will be removed.

In any case, an overnight visit in which your son stays with someone on the baseball team is really important. At Rose, Coach Jenkins arranges that. At DePauw, Admissions arranges that. In both cases, my son learned a lot, which helped him in his ultimate decision.
