double2thegap, who periodically posts on the HSBBW played and later coached at Hendrix, after graduation. I would send him a PM for more comprehensive information. Academically, Hendrix is terrific. Athletically, it is part of the SCAC which is composed of very, very strong academic DIII's which also play all sports at a very high DIII level. While I have not seen it, I have heard from multiple sources that they have upgraded the baseball field and it is a terrific park. From a baseball standpoint, Hendrix has struggled for many years. They are improving and becoming competitive to an extent. But, compared to most SCAC and ASC schools, they still have a long way to go both in terms of talent and depth to get to the middle of the pack.
'You don't have to be a great player to play in the major leagues, you've got to be a good one every day.'

I am going to Hendrix next year as a pitcher, When I went on my recruiting visit I had good expectations going in and when I left, Hendrix exceeded everyone of them. The academics there are top notch,Hendrix is mentioned in the "40 schools that change your life"by Loren pope, the student body is great and everyone is pretty active around campus. The baseball program is without a doubt on the rise. The coaching staff is tremendous, all are young and knowledgeable and relate very well to all the players, every player on the team was very welcoming and it seemed like all of them were a close knit group. The field is great, it was played on last year, its a pitchers park, and top notch in every aspect. All of these things made me realize right when i got on the plane to fly home, that Hendrix was where I wanted to be for the next 4 years.
