This is just a rumor, so don't take this as fact - just something I heard through the grapevine. The rumor is Bud Anderson. He is a native Long Islander who spent several years pitching at the major league level. Time will tell if this is fact or not.

Bud has worked as a volunteer coach with Clarke high school over the last few years. they have won two class a NY state championships during that time. he has also been very active over the last 15 years working for several Long Island area camps, namely BoB Hirschfields NY Baseball Academy and winter pitching clinic.

From the Burlington Royals (A) website:

8/3/2008 | Hitting Coach Anderson takes Head Coach Position at Hofstra University
Burlington Royals hitting coach Patrick Anderson has been named the head coach of the baseball program at Hofstra University. Anderson takes over the program after former head coach, Chris Dotolo, resigned on June 15 after seven seasons at the helm of the Pride.

Had the opportunity to meet Coach Anderson this weekend at the PG Qualifier. He is a very impressive coach who is working very hard to make up for time lost this summer. We spoke a few times and I was impressed by his knowledge and desire to build up the Hofstra program.

I wish him good luck>
