A friend of sons is seriously thinking about attending this school and his dad asked if I knew of anything about the area now 2 years since the storm.

So what did you tell him? Wink

Seriously, though, I don't know any more than anyone else without ties there, but from what I've seen in the media, it's still in a sort of purgatory. It seems the main tourist zones have been brought back but that much of the city is still struggling and coping.....I don't know where Loyola fits into the whole rebuilding process, specifically, however.

About the school:
Loyola is located in uptown New Orleans, by far the most beautiful part of the city. The area around Loyola didn't have too many problems, mostly wind damage if anything. Loyola is located right next to Tulane, literaly.

About the city:
Any area where there were people with money and the ability to come back have started to rebuild or are finished. Many of these areas are thriving now. The areas without money have started to rebuild a little. Some areas such as New Orleans East haven't even come close to being as populated as they were before.

New Orleans was a rough town long before Katrina.
