My child attends. Small school, first rate academics, beautiful area. Academics will be challenging. Athletics are in their infancy. Highly conservative, but I like that.

The topic of Notre Dame University was discussed in my parish bulletin, and its role in the "Land O Lakes Declaration". I spoke with the pastor of my church, a monsignor, regarding what he considered to be "Catholic" schools. Ave Maria was on his very short list.

Coach Summe is an excellent coach and a tireless recruiter. It's a brand new program and it will take a few years to solidify. I have no doubt that coach will put a solid team together. If you have any interst or want more info, PM me.

Very interesting history and story of the founding of this school (and community). It appears to be to orthodox Catholics what Liberty is to "orthodox" Baptists.

not sure about the facilities. 2010 will be their first year for baseball and will be playing naia. getting a late start recruiting since they just announced in late march that they would have a team. coaching is the part that interest me the most. coach summe comes highly reccomended and seems to work very hard at recruiting.
